A Literary Freakshow

Hellfire Juggling • Physical Poetry • The Marriage of Heaven and Hell • Mind-Spinning Manipulation • Fortune Cookie Communion

“The Animated Blake” is a one-man play by James Jay which illuminates the work of the visionary writer William Blake. Circus arts bring poetry alive, and juggling preaches amazing prophecies in this unique physical theater event.

The complete show premiered to enthusiastic response and sold-out houses at the 1999 Seattle Fringe Festival, and it lives on in the staging of individual acts (in English or German translation).

The motivations behind this craziness are explained in the Blake FAQ!
